The Wagon Wheel - a 50s era dance hall

With salvaged hardwood floors, overlooking a picturesque Vermont meadow, the dancehall operated on warm Saturday nights all summer. Often hosting up to 125 people, the Crams (a well-known Ripton family, and neighbor to the dancehall) played the live music, with occasional performances from other talented Riptonites . The events eventually got fairly rowdy, with alcohol consumption increasing over the years, and the building fell into disrepair. All that remains now is a concrete pad which once support the many moving feet.
